Postage and Packing

The Handmade Card Studio will always try to use recycled cardboard for packaging wherever possible. We believe it is helpful to the environment, saving in landfill space. We also use eco friendly bubble wrap and continue to use recycled brown roll to wrap our parcels.

The Handmade Card Studio will always ensure products are well packaged before dispatching to you so they are well protected during their journey, reaching you in perfect condition. If however you have any issues once your item arrives please do not hesitate to get in touch.


Returns and Exchanges

The Handmade Card Studio is happy to accept returns, exchanges and cancellations providing that you:

Contact the Claire at the Handmade Card Studio within: 14 days of delivery
Return item back to the Handmade Card Studio in it's original condition within: 30 days of delivery
Request a cancellation within:  24 hours of purchase.

Unfortunately, the Handmade Card Studio cannot accept returns or exchanges for the following items, unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Customised or personalised orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale

Conditions of return:

Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in it's original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Payment and Delivery

Processing time:

The time needed to prepare an order for dispatch varies. For details, please see individual items.

Customs and import taxes:

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply and I cannot be responsible for any delays due to customs.

Payment options:

The Handmade Card Studio accepts all major debit/credit cards via Worldpay.
Worldpay keeps your payment information secure, the Handmade Card Studio will never receive your debit/credit card information.


Warnings and Disclaimers

Handmade Cards and gift tags:

The buttons, beads and embellishments are glued using an industrial strength glue. However, it is not impossible for the buttons, beads or embellishments to become detached from the cards or gift tags over time, posing a potential choking hazard to babies and small children. It is your responsibility to ensure the cards and gift tags are displayed safely out of reach of babies and small children under 6 years and to check they remain intact. 


All frames from the Handmade Card Studio have a glass front. It is your responsibility to ensure they are displayed safely and securely and are kept well out of reach of babies and small children. The buttons, beads and embellishments are glued using and industrial strength glue. However, in the unlikely event that either become detached and fall out from the frame, it is your responsibility to ensure they do not reach the hands of babies and small children under 6 years. Please be sure to check your frames regularly.


Handmade Card Studio Privacy Policy

At the Handmade Card Studio, your privacy is respected. The Handmade Card Studio will only use your information provided through the website, which is powered by Create.net in line with GDPR laws to fulfil your order.

To enable the Handmade Card Studio to fulfil your order, The following information must be provided:

  • Your Name
  • Your Postal Address
  • Your Email Address
  • Your Payment 
  • Details for Custom Orders

Information Sharing and Disclosure:

The Handmade Card Studio is obligated to share your personal details such as your name and address for very limited purposes to provide you with my services. These services are:

  • The Website provider; Create.net in order to comply with our obligations to you.
  • Trusted third parties; such as the couriers and postal services I use. These services are; MyHermesUK and Royal Mail.
  • Compliance with Laws; I may collect, use, retain or share your details in good faith and if I believe it is necessary do so in order to: (a) respond to a legal process or to a government request (b) enforce our agreements, T&C's and policies (c) Prevent and address other illegal activity (d) protect the rights, property and the safety of my customers and others.

Unless you register for an account, your personal information will only be retained for as long as it is necessary to do so to provide you with the services as described in this policy. However, in certain circumstances, the Handmade Card Studio may be required to retain this information for a longer period to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve any disputes, and enforce our agreements. In these circumstances they will be kept for a period of up to 2 years.

If you register for an account, you agree for the details you have entered such as your name, address and will be stored electronically by my website provider create.net. If you decide you would like to delete your account, you can do this at any time by emailing [email protected] and rest assured, all details held by create.net will be erased.

Your Rights:

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights relating to how your personal information is used. Whilst some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply in certain circumstances. These are described below:

Access: You may have the right to receive a copy of the personal information I hold on file by contacting me Claire via email, which is [email protected]

Change, restrict, delete: You may also have the right to change, restrict, delete your personal information I hold on file, apart from in exceptional circumstances where I am required to store such information for legal reasons.

Object: You can object to receiving marketing emails from the Handmade Card Studio after subscribing to them. In this case, your personal information will be deleted upon request of your un-subscription, unless there are any compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information for legal reasons.

Complain: If you reside within the EU, you can raise your concerns of the Handmade Card Studio's use of your personal information with your local data protection authority.
